   I still need to look in the book for some meanings. my greatest diffuculty is with the court cards, when one shows up, how can one “get” the meaning? does it mean a person, does it mean I should act like that court card, or that I am acting like that court card, is it family? stranger? or should I follow certain traits?, sometimes the position in the spread and question make it easier, but sometimes im just stumped.

   I tend to have the same problem with the court cards, they mix me up more than any other cards in the deck. I find that you really just do need to base it off of the context of the surrounding cards, and go with your intuition.

    Excellent guidance. The Tarot is based on communication to our inner awareness through the use of symbols bearing meanings that our conscious minds may not grasp, and so at its best Tarot reading is not mechanically performed. Thanks!

    I’m in complete agreement with her about not being too “by the book”. If you were to say “this card always means this” a computer program could do readings. I’ve found more than anything that seeing the card drawn for a given position opens something up in the reader, a feeling or a gift of interpretation. Always go with you feeling. Always.

    Expert village is a rip off. They give you 2 min and 38 seconds of info and make  you watch an ad that they are making money on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
